New Brunswick Accommodations: Something For Everyone and a Little More

New Brunswick accommodations can range from modest and basic to luxurious and almost royalty. From chain hotels to gorgeous B&B’s and beautiful campgrounds there is no shortage of choice when it comes to a place to stay… unless of course you arrive on July 1st weekend without booking something ahead of time. Many people have slept in their car un-expectantly that particular weekend.

Other times that people get caught off guard are when there is a large festival happening in a particular city. Some examples of big events that make it impossible to find a place to stay if you haven’t booked ahead are the “Eagles” concert in Moncton or the “Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival” in Fredericton.

Reservations:

Most New Brunswick accommodations will reserve a room with a credit card… some will reserve with just your name if you plan on getting there within a certain time frame, some small operations may require cash for payment though.

Canada Select Star Rating:

Most New Brunswick accommodations have a star rating. This means that they have been graded by “Canada Select” and have been placed somewhere on a scale of one to five star rating. One star is very modest and clean with no extra amenities and five stars is luxurious and incredibly clean with many guest services and extras.

If you are looking for chain hotels, they are common in larger urban areas with the average hotel/motel off the beaten track along the way.

If you are looking for some incredible four and five star B&B’s we have them scattered throughout the province. Plus, not only do you get a great place to stay, but you can also experience our very friendly people.

I should tell you though; there is no law requiring New Brunswick accommodations and campgrounds to be inspected by Canada Select in order to receive an operating license. This means that some places will not have the star rating that most people are accustomed to seeing. Please be careful! Ask to see the room or take a drive around the campground before you confirm the transaction if possible, star rating or no star rating!

So, if you are looking for a great place to stay, New Brunswick has a wide range of accommodations to fit just about any budget or taste from a cabin on the water to a hotel in the center of all the action. It is strongly suggested that you book ahead of time so that you are not disappointed.

Packages:

There are many packages that are available also. For example, there are accommodations in Moncton that include a couple of nights lodging plus different combinations of things such as a family pass to the zoo and passes to the Magic Mountain Water Park or passes to Parlee Beach for the day and Crystal Palace Amusement Park. There are family packages, romance/couples packages, boating, golf, and spa packages.

Off-season packages are very popular too! Many New Brunswick accommodations offer their own little perks to draw people out in less popular times.

Autumn is a great time of the year to travel and enjoy our fall foliage and take advantage of some less expensive accommodation rates. Be careful to make sure that the things you want to see are still open. Many of our top attractions are not open year-around.
