The New Brunswick Map: Free, Popular, and Difficult to Find Until Now!

So you are looking for a New Brunswick Map. The Province now includes an official map with their travel guide. In order to get your FREE copy of the official New Brunswick Map stop by one of the 6 Provincial Visitor Information Centers or one of the many Municipal Visitor Information Centers. Also, the "Irving" or "Circle K" gas and convenience stores in the province carry the FREE travel guide with the map included.

If you are from out of province, the Provincial Information Centers are easily accessed (mid May to mid October)as you come across any border. The Municipal Centers are usually located near any town or village through out the province.

The New Brunswick map is absolutely free of charge, as are the city and town maps and the coupon books, which can be picked up at any of the Provincial Visitor Information Centres! Some cities and towns have their own coupon book, plus the province has one for attractions and accommodations throughout New Brunswick.

Map Quest is another avenue to access a New Brunswick Map. Or check out Google maps. Below I have listed the Google New Brunswick Map location of the top attractions.

“New Brunswick has some of the best highways in the country.”

That’s what I used to hear almost every day when I worked with visitors to the province.

The new 4-lane highway, which is the #2, was completed in late 2007 and runs from the Quebec border to the Nova Scotia Border. Since it is so new, there are very few rest stops and service stations for those traveling.

The new highway bypasses many of the small towns along the way. It really reminds me of the movie “Cars”. Some of these small town businesses have had to close since business dropped considerably since the new highway opened, but some are still there hoping the traffic will eventually return.

Really, the travel time is not that much greater. The 4-lane highway is convenient and fast, but to really see New Brunswick you will need to get back onto the scenic drives, or the old highways.

As you can see on the New Brunswick Map many of the old highways follow relatively closely to the new 4-lane highway. So not only are they slower paced, and much more scenic, they don't have the amount of truck traffic commonly seen on larger highways.

The 4-lane highways, and some secondary highways, have fencing along them as a safety precaution for the abundant wildlife present in New Brunswick such as moose and deer. You wouldn't want to meet this moose during the day or at night. This photo was taken near McAdam, New Brunswick.
