What Exhilarating Outdoor Adventure Gets Your Adrenalin Pumping?
Are you tired of the same old golf, hiking, biking activity?
Why not put some exhilaration into your next outdoor adventure? Explore New Brunswick for your next amazing adventure where there is something new to experience in each and every season.
Spring...
In spring New Brunswick has some great spring Skiing on four major ski hills in the province. The early lobster fishing season is also in spring…try your hand at this Maritime way of life or just enjoy the fruits of their wares. Salmon fishing is very popular too; The Mighty Miramichi and the Restigouche Rivers are world famous for salmon angling. Believe me…it is not as easy as it looks! Some areas of New Brunswick also offer Deep Sea Fishing excursions!
Summer...
New Brunswick outdoor adventure continues into the summer months with just enough heat and sunshine to enjoy the long list of water activities this province is known for. Take your pick from approximately 60 swimming beaches, (fresh or salt water) numerous coastal islands to explore, and 1400 miles of coastline for kayaking/canoeing, or just plain beach combing and beach glass collecting. Want more ventures? Try your hand at scuba diving or kite surfing for more of a challenge. Tree Go has recently become a popular adventure in New Brunswick for the young and the young-at-heart. It is an obstacle course high (sometimes very high) up in the trees. If you have ever dreamt of being Tarzan… here’s your chance to prove yourself to your “Jane”!
Autumn or Fall...
Autumn or fall is when our sugar maples put on a colorful show for all to see. New Brunswick’s fall colors can be enjoyed during any outdoor adventure. It’s your choice, try something new or resort to old favorites like hiking or biking trails, either way the colors will paint the perfect backdrop. Fall is very popular in New Brunswick for wildlife viewing, whale watching, and the ever popular fall festivals.
Winter...
Winter months can present challenges to those who don’t like the cold. If you can get past the cold temperatures with some good quality clothing and a whole lot of determination (this is what I have to do) winter can be a blast.
Downhill and Cross-country skiing are great activities when there is an abundance of snow. Snow shoeing is a great way to stroll through
the woods on a bright sunny day or find a good sled and fly uncontrollably down a steep icy hill only hitting the high spots. (Sliding can be as dangerous as you let it.) The cold temperatures make for great outdoor rinks for those that love skating. You could also check out the local rinks for family skate times. Try it…you just might like it!! Hockey is a favorite in our family but many people also enjoy curling, another activity on ice.
